ADWcleaner flagged as Malware

Hi,

I thought you may be interested that I downloaded your ADWcleaner from theBleeping Computer website the other day and it was immediately flagged by Kaspersky AV as a trojan. Version adwcleaner_5.014.exe.

This caused a Kernel Core Security Failure and Windows 10 closed down. Rebooted and Kaspersky dealt with the problematic file. All clear now. However it seems that some one/thing is possibly tampering with your exe at the BC end.

I have never had a problem before with your product and still have faith in it, but not from the afore mentioned website.

you should report this false positive to Kaspersky.

I've checked the .exe at BC, looks good here.

Please update your  AV database and if the problem persists, share us screenshots or logs of the detection.

Hello and thanks for your reply. And thanks for reporting this to Kaspersky too.

I have updated my AV and downloaded another ADWcleaner version 5.014 from your website. This has proven to be fine and works as it always does. I suppose Kaspersky is not infallable but I was suprised when this was flagged, as your product is a wonderful addition to any serious net user. It would be a great shame if this app started to go belly up.

(I would have included a screenshot of the Kaspersky report but am unfamiliar with your website proceedure for doing so).

Should I experience any further problems I will be in touch.
