AdwCleaner 7.0.6.0 has stopped working

I have tried several times to run AdwCleaner 7.0.6.0 on my laptop but it continues to stop during Heuristic analysis while doing a scan and windows closes the program.  I am running a Windows 10 Home (1709) OS on a Dell Inspiron laptop.  Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Peter

Re: PUP.Legacy.Optional - 3 Threats Identified

I found this thread while looking for answer to my own pup issues and signed up to say thanks.  What worked for me was uninstalling Chrome and then running Malwarebytes Adwcleaner. Ran it a second time and with Chrome uninstalled a got a clean scan this time. Before that it would identify Pup.Legacy.Optional. Re: Empty TOS box

Greetings,

Can we get a screenshot of this empty terms of service window? Is it the only window affected by some empty text?

Thanks.

Re: How to remove Ninite.exe

Greetings,

You should be able to find a way to uninstall Ninite through the Windows Control Panel/Settings.

Here is how (take a look at the Remove in Settings section): https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028054/windows-repair-or-remove-programs-in-windows-10

Re: adware cleaner

Greetings,

What do you mean by "to activate the program"? Do you simply want to run AdwCleaner? If so, you just need to run the downloaded executable.

adware cleaner

downloaded the 7.0.6.0 upgrade and lost the shortcut icon to activate the program

How to remove Ninite.exe

I am running Windows 7 and I downloaded and installed the Ninite program for automatic software updates. It said it had installed and updated some programs but I cannot find the Ninite.exe file anywhere on my PC. Is there a way to remove it? Makes me uneasy to have a supposedly running program that I can't find / locate file location. Thank you.

Re: Hi is this legitimate site?

Greetings,

That's definitely not an official website. Here is the official page => https://malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/

..and it redirects to https://toolslib.net/downloads/finish/1/ (which is the official download link).

Thanks for letting us know.

Have a happy new year. Regards.

Hi

I just have a doubt I wanted to solve, since I saw this site which is pretty vocal about donations and payment which compares in form of pop-up and on the side, apart donation statistics https://adwcleaner.pl/adwcleaner/pobierz-program/
