I just d/l the adwcleaner step 1 with no issues and i notices there's a bunch more steps. Are they necessary? I only have Windows Defender that comes with windows 10. Obviously i wouldn't do steps that say optional or for apple when i have a hp but the other ones that say hitman pro for example. A small window popped up after the scan saying to enable detection of PUPs on adware...where do i do...

If your computer speed really slow downs in 4 days, that should not be an hardware issue.

• Then run it with administrator's rights (with right click)
• Then upload the log file on up2share (you will find it on your desktop, just drop the file on the upload zone)

Pouvez-vous activer le mode Debug ?

• Lancez AdwCleaner
• Menu Options > Activer le mode debogage
• Lancez le scan.

Une fois le freeze provoqué, un rapport "C:\AdwCleaner\AdwCleaner_dbg_xxxxxx.log" devrait apparaître. Fournissez-le dans votre prochaine réponse.

Un contributeur, sur mes forums, fait remarquer qu'il y a des antivirus qui taguent AdwCleaner 5.026 dans le panel VirusTotal, et de conclure qu'il faut s'abstenir.

Je ne peux pas laisser cela en l'état et ai donc répondu en analysant rapidement les antivirus en question.

Cela peut servir aux visiteurs, ici, aux utilisateurs d'AdwCleaner en général, et à l'éveil de la vigilance quan...

You can find it in C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[SX].txt where X is a number.

My desktop PC has - as a dealers service - free AVG installed. By accident AVG toolbar(s) are downloaded. Googling I found Adaware as a good tool to remove things like that. But it found more, by instance roboot.64.exe, register. I'm not an expert; can I check and remove everything, and how do I know?
