Re: Désinfection de tapsnake, cronDNS, Dubfishiw

Pas besoin, ton rapport AdwCleaner est court. Il ne montre rien de "grave".

Par contre héberge les rapports de FRST car ils sont longs.

Advanced System Care

I've been using IObit's advanced system care and other progs for a long time now, on recommendation of a techie.  I have successfully told Malwarebytes not to remove it, although Mb obviously hates it.  However, I've just had a problem with recurring PUPs and thought I'd turn to ADW because my current stronger package is playing silly-b's since a recent update.  But it just came up with a board...

Hello,

There is a possibility to realize an XP support in current version.

Yes.

I wrote back in August to fr33tux and sent him screens with explanations on how to add XP support to your project. So for now it seems like a MBAM PR action that you don't want to realize such support (though you can).

It's not a question of technical difficulty, it's a choice to not support an OS no longe...

What this link is about? You're not working on Microsoft, don't you? Even MBAM supports XP along with other popular anti-viruses and tools.

More than two weeks later, still same results as above. This is the longest I've ever gone without a clean scan result, and it worries me.

It looks like your PC's DHCP IP's have been altered maliciously not too long ago. Which it would make sense why one PC detects it, and another doesn't. Default addresses can be hijacked and used for malicious intents. It is hard to say whether it is a false positive or not. You could always reset your PCs IP's and router to see if that solves the problem.

Re: Win XP support

Hello,

Let me disagree with you :)

Compatible with Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 in 32 & 64 bits.

This is written at download page. So XP is not supported. And please look at this link - https://toolslib.net/forum/viewthread/3789-ru-dokumentaciya-adwcleaner/ So you can see that in spite of Russian language - site I gave in previous message is quite legitimate and it in accordance with fr33tux at ...

I am not sure, but I think there is a library of legacy Adwcleaner installations for older software if the new ones do not work. I just looked at compatibilities for the newest version, it appears that it should work with WinXP. What issues are you experiencing?

Also avoid the link above, not only it is Russian, but also illegitimate.

Edit: Interestingly enough it isn't. Not sure where I loo...

Yep, all fixed - thanks very much.  SpywareBlaster (SWB) updates its data base about every two weeks.  Can you tell me if the fix was such that it will no longer generally report SWBs preventative measures?  I fully accept that the odd false positive can happen but the quantity had become very high of late.
