I don't really know what could cause this kind of bug. It's probably due to the configuration of your computer. But we can try debugging it if you have the time.

Ok, it appears that your error comes from an external library that AdwCleaner uses to parse Chrome preferences file. It's weird because this error appears only on a few computers...

I used the current version of AdwCleaner today without issue.  I run 3 layers of PAID active Anti-Virus protection:  Emsisoft Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes Pro, and Hitman Pro. 

In response to the false positive claim of AdwCleaner being a threat, I did a scan on the AdwCleaner.exe with all three AV programs.  AdwCleaner came back CLEAN.  Also, I have used it for years...and AdwCleaner catches the ...

Voici le rapport. entre temps, j'ai réussi à redémarrer normalement en décochant les services et le démararge sous msconfig mais en  recochant c'est reparti.

Ok. Évitez vraiment de passer par msconfig pour gérer le mode sans échec, sous peine d'avoir un redémarrage en boucle en mode sans échec. On termine la partie désinfection/optimisation/nettoyage avant de s'attaquer au souci du...

Sorry for the delay.

1. Please download CCleaner,
2. Go in Options tab > Advanced, untick Only delete Windows temporary files older than 24 hours.
3. Then in Options  tab > Surveillance, untick the both boxes.
4. In the Clean tab, click on "Clean".
5. When the cleaning is done, go in the "Registry" tab, click on "Find errors" and then "Fix".
