Thank group development.
You have one tool user support is great. However, recently I saw many Adware has improved faster, harder to remove and seek more, we create multiple folders and files in the% Appdata% and programdata that Adwcleaner not removed thoroughly, besides lots other offer inserted directly to the browser, it's difficult to find the file, you have any plans for this problem yet?
Hopefully we will soon be put into the software to uninstall completely. Good luck.
Getting false detection, running Windows 10 tech preview build 10130
file doesn't seem to be signed by MS though.

Good but, it also zaps "mkvtoolnix" desktop icons (i.e. mkvmerge*, mkvextract*) and mkvtoolnix-N.N.N-setup from download folder (not big issue as setup version regularly updated anyway) [XP Prof SP3]
Bonsoir,

OK! Issue solved! I had knowingly installed the iSafe Key-logger on that computer. This is supposedly invisible to cleaners and registry. AdwCleaner removed the invisible iSafe folder but not its registry entries. That caused instability in the system, probably related to the specificity of the key-loggers. Restoring the iSafe folder from within the AdwCleaner Quarantine Manager solved the issue. No need to do anything in the registry. I hope this helps!
@cocochepeau
Here are most of the entries I could find. I believe the Hotspot Shield drivers might be the culprit. One user had a driver inside Device Manager. Replacing that driver with one from another working computer seems to have corrected the connection issue.

This latest version has many false positives. In favorites, i have a folder name 'online' it is detecting that folder. In registry, it is detecting IDM helper addon for IE (I have Internet download manager installed). In firefox, it is detecting an addon xpi file 'SuperDrag', i have been using this addon for months it is not a adware. Please fix this problems if possible.
Thanks a lot for this superb program.
There are two wrong definitions in the database, please correct that.

Those are two firefox plugins:
Download Helper: https://addons.mozilla.org/bg/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/
Empty Cache Button: https://addons.mozilla.org/bg/firefox/addon/empty-cache-button/
Of course check that.
I'm running Windows 8.1 Enterprise (x86), Firefox 34.0;
I've donated you three times.
Do that and there will be a fourth.
Thank you!
Adwcleaner is now picking up registry key entries (not folders or files) of Internet Download Manager. A legitimate downloading software that did not use to be picked up in previous versions of Adwcleaner. Please white-list Internet Download Manager.
