I hope this clears up some confusion... Please note that as of the time of writing this message (January - 16th - 2017) Combofix does not currently support windows 10. And hasn't since the release of windows 10. It's unknown if Combofix will ever support windows 10 or not. The supported operating systems are: Windows XP/Vista/7/8.

Hi there, didn't come here in a while but anyway I will answer if some of you are interested. I used AutoIT to write this program, that's why it's sometimes triggering false positives in some antiviruses. As far as I know, this language really tries to use the core functions of Windows, and I think I read somewhere that it is using the same download function than Internet Explorer.
In a nutshell, that's just triggering an Internet Explorer download via the console.

@cocochepeau You are right, I tried the process again and it did ask me. I don't recall getting this warning message the first time though, or maybe i just ignored it, which would be my fault. Thanks for getting in touch.

Not getting a response from you about "clean files" hang-up issue previously mentioned.
Note that unchecking "clean files" allow the subsequent cleanup processes to work - but it is unrealistic to do this every time the programme is used as the file "threats" simply remain in place.
ADWCleaner seems a neat utility, but it has to be fully functional to be retained.

hi first of all it is very good the program helps me a lot for what I necesito.Yo not use it for what is the subject virus only use it to close all programs and things that I have open when playing games helps me much to free up rAM and speed up the prosesador.Pero I have problems in windows 10 to close everything and open the explorer.exe become an error that I do not like to open the explorer.exe opens again this occurs but not works any of your choices ... what I mean I mean that when you open the explorer.exe if everything well but the taskbar in their functions as well as any work that gives me the problem of not being able to access open to any the functions of the explorer.exe process that is vital in the Windows interface will not let me open anything or interact with the start menu absolutely nada..trate to start the task manually with task manager in administrator mode and normal mode but still does not work ... Now my proposal is this that when closing the processes in your program that put an option to let you close those that you want so you can ensure the explorer.exe process fails at the time of use your program ... I had no problems with this program or windows xP or windows 7, only windows 8 and windows 10 .. in windows 8 the problem is that when you run the program with administrator mode it closes all the processes and programs including explorer.exe to manually open the explorer.exe from the program run in administrator mode is opened but do not work properly options or settings menu windows 8 ... and get a sign saying they can not open the menu configurations because explorer.exe is being executed in administrator mode ... what i love most is that you add the option of that program and want to close the process in your program thanks and see you later.

AdwCleaner lists Mipony as a Potentially Unwanted Program, aka PUP; however it is not. When installing Mipony Download Manager, it clearly lists other software which will be installed if you do not uncheck the box, just as many other software programs do. Please remove Mipony from your list of PUPs. As is, I have to uncheck all the little boxes every time I run AdwCleaner. Thank you.

Found 41 items in HKLM/Software...but info is in complete,so i don't know if they're safe to remove or not...it also keeps adding the Sendspace and extensions folders all the time, yet I do know there is no malware in either of those. If these issues don't get fixed,I'll have to stop using the program, rather than screw up my computer by deleting something I may need.

I really appreciate what you do with this program. It's one hell of a program. I do have a suggestion, though:
I've noticed that, the more up-to-date it is, the slower it becomes...it takes quite some time for it to scan a system, despite using SSDs.
Could you split the scanning process among 4+ cores of the CPU so that the scanning speed is improved? Could you give the software 4 instances with Affinity specifically set to a CPU core? I believe doing that may improve its scanning time, especially on SSDs (which are usually the ones holding the entire Windows installation -> and this last one is what most infection target (Users folder, Windows, Program Data...)

Thank you again for your work on this great tool! No wonder it has so many millions of downloads

version 6.0 .
Adwcleaner finds a threat in file web data located in C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default . The value is Search Provider and data is search.babylon.com.
I deleted it several times and it still can't be removed, even I deleted the whole Web data file.
