False positives (it's a legitimate VPN extension):

If I remember correctly there's also a false positive for the Hola Unblocker Firefox add-on. However, the Firefox add-on stopped working for me - possibly due to AdwCleaner cleaning away files needed for it to work - and re-installing it doesn't help, so I can't submit a report for that add-on. After running you program the only things I could see listed were the files under the files tab. I selected them and selected the clean button. Your program cleaned them, closed my computer and rebooted. All seemed well until I went into my task manager. To my surprise under the processes tab, 82 Background Processes were listed in addition to 5 Apps. Many seemed to be duplicates (25) (Google Chrome (32 bit). Is this normal? Was it a mistake to delete those files? If so can it be reversed? If not why wasn't there a strong warning stating the consequences?

My adwcleaner failed to remove Vosteran Search which pops up 3 tabs for every one chrome tab. I haven't downloaded any private or personal files on this new computer.....only windows and McAfee updates have been entered. McAfee sent me to adwcleaner. Interesting but also not successful. Help.

Bonjour et bonne année
Pour répondre à Fabrice, lorsque vous utilisez Internet Exploreur avec la page d'accueil Orange par exemple, si vous voulez naviguer avec Google, vous n'avez d'autre choix que d'installer Google toolbar. Elle est très sure.

Pour google Chrome, il te faut juste faire afficher ta barre des favoris, donc pas besoin de toolbar ;-)

J'ai actuellement constaté une chose étrange sur AdwCleaner 4.106:
il me détecte le dossier qui contient Adblock comme malveillant:
C:\Users\nom\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidom
Suis-je le seul ?

Google Chrome me "refuse" le téléchargement depuis votre site toolslib : " adwcleaner_4.107.exe peut nuire à votre confort de navigation, il a donc été bloqué par Chrome."
Y a t'il un probleme ?
Nb: le téléchargement a partir de bleepingcomputer se passe sans soucis !
