Hello,

Currently AdwCleaner deletes only Winsock2 orphan entries ( the ones that points to a files that has been deleted ). It also does a "netsh winsock reset" but I don't think this last command can break the internet connection.

Do you have AdwCleaner's cleaning logfile ? Can you post it here ?

I would like to report a bug or an issue I've been having with the latest version of adwcleaner 5.105.  I work at a university and have been assisting with malware removal and typically part of the process, we run adwcleaner since it usually does a fantastic job at removing adware.  Essentially we ran into the issue where after running adwcleaner the internet would no longer work.  Afte...

Ran with debug mode, no file created. I think this is due to my computer being part of a Windows domain, and I am a domain, not local, user. I will try using a local account.

Just like it says, after I updated to 5.105, I can no longer scan. After pressing scan I get an error popup with the message, "AdwCleaner's database cannot be loaded." I have tried re-downloading the .exe, restarting my computer and turning firewall completely off. But I get this error every time.

I've recently done a scan on my computer with AdwCleaner - out of a couple of false positives, I can't figure this one out. I've tried looking it up, but no dice. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks, Xplode.  I have now downloaded and run the next version adwcleaner_5.105.exe, and it has found nothing.

I downloaded the new ADWCleaner 5.103 this morning, and ran it.  It found one registry key:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\Image File Execution Options\egui.exe

I went to the key in the Registry, and the key has no value.
