I guess it makes sense, since XP and Vista not supported officially by Microsoft, it would get exponentially more difficult to protect the platforms efficiently.

Hello,
It's edited, thanks for pointing it out.
Sorry for not supporting XP and Vista any longer but we had to make some choices. If you have any troubles while using MB3, please reach us and we'll help!
Latest version AdwCleaner 7.0.0.0 will not run on XP SP3 "Not a valid Win32 application".
EDIT: OK so I have just read on Malwarebytes forum that XP and Vista are no longer supported, fair enough, but you may want to drop XP and Vista from the "Compatible with" list on this page? https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/
Never had issues that ADWCleaner would remove my TeamViewer. You sure it was that software? Maybe it was a fluke or a trojan pretending to be TeamViewer. You could try installing TV, doing a scan with anti-virus software, ADWCleaner and maybe some form of anti-malware on top of that, to confirm or deny your thoughts.
I can't replicate it so not sure what happened. Hopefully just a fluke.
Run AdwCleaner, Tools > Options. Tick "Debug" in the mode section.
Then, do a scan, and a clean. Share the generated logfile from C:\AdwCleaner\AdwCleaner_Debug.log.
Which file is the debug file?
rufus, I agree will all that you say. many users are probably unaware that the defs are NOT being updated.
I had hoped that someone could have looked at my debug log and said if the problem would be fixed or support for XP was being dropped. Will the new version support XP?
Can you share us the whole Debug log file? You can use Up2Sha.re if you want, or just copy its content on your next answer.
Can you whitelist Teamviewer? ADWcleaner killed it today.
Thanks!
