Today I was scanning a computer that had a folder clled "ppt" on the desktop, which contained a lot of the user's powerpoint files and adwcleaner wanted to delete it!!!!! Fortunately I catched it on time!
WHY ON EARTH would adwcleaner delete user's files???????
What does this mean? I don't wish to remove/delete it as it sounds ominous.
I'm under the impression my machine has a virus. Less than 30 minutes ago, windows were opening and closing themselves simultaneously to the point of me rebooting.

It's sad to say, but all versions of Locky ransomware, including .shit can't be decrypted. The only thing that you can do is to delete the virus from your PC and try to avoid the suchlike infection next time. ADWCleaner deleted a folder saved on my desktop. As per suggestions on this thread, I ran the Quarantine Manager to restore the files. It worked. Files restored and my pc is much faster now after Ive deleted all those adware.
