Am also running current Win 7 on a Dell [E6400] laptop, am also encountering the exact same error identified above, and enabling the debug option, the exact same log file shown above is being generated verbatim. Seems this problem has existed since the introduction of AdwCleaner 7 or shortly thereafter. I found AdwCleaner to be very useful in its earlier working version, was very disappointed to lose it. Seems strange that a MalwareBytes-associated program would suffer this persistent issue for such a long time. Please let me know what you need from this end to troubleshoot it.
P.S. While here, I'll mention that I use Internet Download Manager, and downloading the AdwCleaner program via MajorGeeks results in an error notification: "IDM started to download the file using one connection because of data corruption when newly received data in several connections did not match the same data downloaded earlier." This happens every time, with every successive AdwCleaner version, and ONLY with this program. A direct ie11 download of the program file compares exactly with the IDM download.
Cross-checking info: AdwCleaner_7.070.exe as saved to my local drive, MD5: 3E3DEE6996E9C17C10A39EEF05973792, Size: 8,206,624, Modified: 1/18/18 21:12:53 . And yes, the debug data is the same as for 7.060 per this thread...
