I run AdwCleaner every few days.  Every time I do it detects, and deletes, the following:

***** [ Registry ] *****

[-] Key Deleted : HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\{10921475-03CE-4E04-90CE-E2E7EF20C814}

***** [ Web browsers ] *****

[-] [C:\Users\David\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Web Data] [Search Provider] Deleted : uk.ask.com

What can I do to prevent them returning?

Re: Same two iems repeatedly discovered by AdwCleaner.

Hello,

The GUID seems to be related to IOBit, do you have this software installed on your computer ?

Thank you Xplode.

I have IOBit's uninstaller installed.

What does GUID mean please?

Regards.

Re: Same two iems repeatedly discovered by AdwCleaner.

Hello,

GUID stands for Globally Unique Identifier. In this case, the GUID I talk about is this one {10921475-03CE-4E04-90CE-E2E7EF20C814}

According to systemlookup, this entry is classified as borderline. I suggest you to uninstall IOBit uninstaller. If you don't, AdwCleaner will not clean it since IOBit will reinstall it after its deletion. It's up to you.

Ok, I'll uninstall IOBit's uninstaller.  I have seen few negative comments about it somewhere.
