Hey i didnt use malwarebytes 3 since december but wanted to check my pc right now (i usually do it with adwcleaner but well sometimes i just check everything) now onto the "problem" everytime i start the malwarebytes 3 scam my avira pops up with a warning that the admin blocked sth from doing sth to my registry i dont find any malware on my pc with malwarebytes nor adwcleaner and a full avira scan has 0 threats too but EVERYTIME i start a malwarebytes 3 scan i get this avira warning.... is it just the 2 programs interfering with each other - meaning im safe or do i have a problem? best regards sometimes the warning pops up instantly sometimes at the end of the scan - i dont know anymore. ok could get some more infos now everytime malwarebytes goes to the third step "Scan memory" my cpu spikes to 90% usage (second pc does that too) asap from malwarebytes and i get the avira registry warning (dont get the warning on pc 2 only high cpu usage) but still the scan doesnt find anything and my pc works perfectly fine....  it only happens on one of my two pc's (both have the same windows and avira aswell as malwarebytes version so 100% same setups) what could be the cause? a bug on one pc? or do i have a serious virus??

Re: Malwarebytes 3 and avira

some google results say this is due to the free premium feature for 14days - true? also the registry warning inconsistently happens on the second pc too but the 90% cpu usage stuff doesnt (eventho both exact same as said before) should my adwcleaner find sth if 1pc is effected by a virus? edit2: just tested again on my second machine and i was wrong when "scan memory" starts the cpu there spikes to 80-100% too BUT I DONT GET THE AVIRA REGISTRY WARNING and that pc is 100% clean as i just installed windows yesterday on it (fresh)

Re: Malwarebytes 3 and avira

Greetings,

I invite you to disable Avira's real time protection when using Malwarebytes 3.

Regards.

Re: Malwarebytes 3 and avira

so avira warning me of something registry related is due to MB 3 yes? i mean more or less because the two conflict with each other?

Re: Malwarebytes 3 and avira

Hi,

It might be related to conflicts between the two antiviruses, yes.

Regards.

Re: Malwarebytes 3 and avira

Hi Cocochepeau, would you recommend disabling the real-time protection when using Malwarebytes 3 no matter what antivirus program you're using or is does that advice only for the Avira users?

Re: Malwarebytes 3 and avira

Hello,

It's not only for Avira users - as I said above, it may result on unpredicted conflicts.

I do not recommend having multiple antiviruses running at the same time.
