Hello and welcome on ToolsLib,
The least I can say is that you are determined. I saw your messages on Facebook and Twitter as well. I'll answer here so everyone can participate and see what's going on.
I don't know if you've seen it but we recently introduced automated VirusTotal scans for all the projects hosted on ToolsLib. Here is an example for AdsFix: https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/20-adsfix/files/750/. So, yes, we already knew these results.
As you might have seen in the report, 3 out of 5 AV classifies AdsFix using Generic detections. Another one classifies it as "Suspicious".
About Generic detections, a quote from this page:
A Generic Detection has identified a program or file that has features or behaviors similar to known harmful programs, such as trojans, backdoors or exploits.
Security programs will sometimes unintentionally identify a clean program or file as malicious if its code or behavior is similar to a known harmful program or file. This is known as a False Alarm or False Positive (FP).
Also, AdsFix is written in AutoIt. Here is some interesting details about AutoIt and AV detections: https://www.autoitscript.com/wiki/AutoIt_and_Malware
So AdsFix is definitely not harmful - At least the way you describe it, as a trojan. I cannot confirm you its 100% safe to use it though, since I know that there was a lot of controversy about its cleaning behavior in the past. But for that part, we'll have to wait for its author to answer.
We are trying our best not to host malware on ToolsLib. The moderation team is working hard in order to host/deliver only safe programs. That's our number one priority. We already took actions about suspicious programs in the past. This problem isn't new to us at all.
Regards.
