I'm using XP, and AdwCleaner has never detected any adware or malware on my computer other than one or two orphan registry entries. How many did AdwCleaner detect on your Windows 7 computer? Oh yeah, 140.... There's a lot more to computing than having the very latest... ;)
Adwcleaner is detecting speedbit video downloader as a malware. This makes it difficult in cleaning other malwares as some of the links might be related to speedbit video downloader. could you check this link and solve the problem (https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/54048-malwarebytes-anti-malware-version-146-erroneously-detects-speedbit-speedbit-video-downloader-as-adwareecobar/). Can you please include screenconnect in your ignored processes? Just recently adwcleaner started targeting screen connect for removal. This is one of the most popular remote connection utilities out there so you should be able to ignore it. Their site is screenconnect.com.
Also, I'm surprised so many people are using XP still. I can understand using it on an isolated production system, but for everyone else, I think it's time to move on.
Thanks a lot for this cleaner. i downloaded this one and junk removal tool and now there are no pop ups from ad coiup or whatever it was called, among others.
I had to make an account just to thank you for this amazing program.
I had something crazy going on on my computer that installed priceechopp and savemaass as extensions on chrome every time I opened it - making ads pop up everywhere...
I tried going through my installed programs list and deleting things (I found scary things with tricky names that looked normal in there too) but nothing helped
I read forums and forums about people who had the same problem as me and were installing all these programs with none of them helping
Finally someone said that this helped so I tried it
It was so fast, and so weird to see the notepad open with all of these scary files that were deleted - I would have never thought to look for them in those locations
Anyways thank you sooo much.
And for anyone who wants to get rid of pricechopp, this is the only thing I've heard of that actually works.

Depuis la version AdwCleaner 4.101, il ne fait plus référence qu'à la clé 0FF2AEFF45EEA0A48A4B33C1973B6094
Autoriser le nettoyage oblige à la désinstallation complète de Norton Ghost et de toutes ses valeurs dans le registre afin de pouvoir le réinstaller à neuf.
Autant dire, la galère...

J'ai installé la version 4.101 im'a trouvé dans le registre les clés suivantes:

J'ai un gros doute sur ses 2 clés. Je n'ai donc pas nettoyé; Pouvez-vous me confirmer qu'il ne s'agit pas de faux-positifs.

This tool helped me get rid of the "Ads by Speed Dial" in Chrome. I was becoming desperate because no tool could get rid of it, Malwarebytes, Spybot, none. manual removal process described on various websites could not be replicated. I was really becoming desperate, I uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome, to no avail. I came across one article on a German website, and a poster recommended this tool. I gave it a try and it really worked!!! I am now free of "Ads by Speed Dial". THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS WONDERFUL TOOL!!!
@Ipuri - I'm using AdwCleaner v3.216 and I haven't encounter disconnecting issue with LMI(logmein rescue). But when I use the updated one which is AdwCleaner v4.101, when I click on "clean" the LMI will lose it's connection.
@admin please give me feedback on this. thank you!
