Hi, I have an issue when i run "AdwCleaner 5.201". Whenever I run this particular version, my computer just hangs for few seconds, then starts functioning again. However, the AdwCleaner software doesn't start at all. I tried running the software several times. Same thing happens every time I try running the software. I downloaded twice again, after deleting the previous files, but to no avail. I also deleted all the temporary files, restarted the system, but was of no help.
I would like to know if the same thing or anything similar has happened to anyone and how was it resolved. Any help would really be appreciated. Thank you.
I cant get over how well this worked. I am astonished at the time it took, and the efficiency of it. It even cleaned up the rest of left over files of other adwares from years before. If i could meet the people that made this, I would tell them straight up on how well this worked. I barely ever write reviews, but this by far deserved a good review. I Love the AdwCleaner program it got rid of PUP that I did everything to get rid of it. I ran this program and it cleaned out my computer and got rid of infect files and programs that was not needed or infected. Thank God for this program. The Best there is. Thank you for having it has a free program.
I have a couple of false positives to report that keep getting flagged, but shouldn't be.
1. Under Scheduled Tasks, RunAsStdUser Task is C:\Program Files\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\dopus.exe
This is a legit Directory Opus entry.
2. Under Shortcuts, C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\TeraByte Unlimited\TeraByte OSD Tool Suite Pro\Ready To Run Scripts\INISTART - Reset Windows Startup.lnk
This is a legit Terabyte Image for Windows shortcut.
UPD. Например в свойствах ярлыка Internet Explorer.lnk который будет находиться по одному из ниже описаных путей будет указан путь "C:\**********\iexplore.bat.exe" вместо правильного "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
Hey Xplode, been using this to nuke malware for a LONG time, and I'd like to thank you for the time and energy you put into this. Is there any chance you can whitelist Kaseya software in your process killer so that remote techs don't lose connection while running this? "%programfiles(x86)%\Kaseya Remote Control" and "%programfiles%\KaseyaAgent\{AGENTGUID}\" on 64-bit machines (no x86 on 32-bit) are the root directories used. I could send you specific information via PM if you'd like :)

I believe this is a false positive detection and it is related to Toolbar Buttons add-on.
