I found this thread while looking for answer to my own pup issues and signed up to say thanks. What worked for me was uninstalling Chrome and then running Malwarebytes Adwcleaner. Ran it a second time and with Chrome uninstalled a got a clean scan this time. Before that it would identify Pup.Legacy.Optional. Mon pc est infecté par les 3 virus cités ci dessus (j'ai eu cette info par une fenêtre qui s'est ouverte et qui me dit que windows est endommagé!) . Les fichiers infectés : syn32/hidden/Xsnake.ex....Que me conseillez-vous ?

I just tried to run AdwCleaner in Safe Mode unfortonately run AdwCleaner crashed again and produced the same error msg.
Looking forward to the next version of AdwCleaner. Hopefully this will resolve this issuse.
