Could be that you are a victim of bundleware. Basically, alongside normal maybe even useful software, some providers bundle malicious or useless software just to increase downloads and such. Have you downloading anything from 3rd party providers and not official sources?. ...For whatever reason, whenever I try to download AdwCleaner, I get the message from my browser "The signature of adwcleaner_7.0.0.0.exe is corrupt or invalid." The same thing also happens with other versions I try to download.
Version 6.047 finds nothing while version 7 finds 262 elements, mostly IE registry keys + one Firefox add-on.
