AdwCleaner    7.4.1    Release

AdwCleaner    7.4.1    Beta

AdwCleaner    7.4       Release

I had previously downloaded the Beta when only the second and third lines were there (it seemed to work well),   When the top line appeared this morning, I assumed from the filename that the Release was the same file, but I wondered about it, an...

doublechecked too it goes likes this:

survey -> close browser -> run adwcleaner -> pups found -> dont repair -> open browser again AND delete cookies -> close browser -> run adw cleaner again -> no pups found - so 100% cookie related - probably just gathering personal data via those i would guess and making profit over those eventho they pay you for survey

he copied exactly what i wrote in my thread so therefor he was there in the first place. so why didnt he just read the answers there instead of making a whole new thread out of it.

Re: PUP's from online studies - harmless or not?

Hi Fleks,

I'm curious, do you have Adwcleaner? and do you run the program ?  PUP's are not cookies.  They are connected to other software/surveys that the user(s) downloads.

Hi Fleks,

wondering why you literally just copied my exact text instead of reading the other thread? (i mean to copy it,you were in there clearly so lazy much?)   <------- Could you explain this sentence?  Thanks.

The site just uses cookies to give you better ad's for you to potentialy make money - nothing to worry about. the moment you delete cookies, the pups are gone - check the option to do it baseline with each session closing and you dont even hav...

small update to this matter (in case anyone else has this annoyance): these PUP's are just cookies used by the site so if you check the option to delete these after every session then you will not have any PUP's - started noticing this after swapping over to edge and i use the delete everything after each session anyhow so happy coincidence

Hi, no, I dont have a Dell ;)  Vista32 SP2. CBS log: it seems english ("reboot required" instead of "riavvio necessario"). the last line "Scavenge: Package store indicates there is no component to scavenge, skipping." I guess that scavenge means "clean" i.e no component that requires to be cleaned. I not rebooted after "the repair".
