May or may not be a Clean_DNS problem but since the day of installing Clean_DNS the Windows\Start icon in bottom left of Win 10 screen is a mess, ie left clicking on it shows all options but lets you go/click no further on any of them. Since PUP is a potentially unwanted software, it might not be an infection, just some rogue application running or installed on your PC. Do a thorough scan with Malwarebytes and see if it helps to deal with the issue. Also, you can try searching for the folder manually, as the path is listed and remove it that way. If you have issues, kill the process with the task manager and then remove it.
I did the same with my second machine with WIN 8.1. The same problem, the same error message. Atgtached pls find the content of the debug log file.

I have no proxies on either machine.
Just updated and ran scan - still same result as yesterday as below - 280 entires found!

It's not a browser hijack, it's the search-engine setting that AdwCleaner set after removing a malicious one. This will be back to google.com by default, with a dropdown in the Options UI to choose between seevral search engines.
Just to be sure, you say that Duckduckgo has been set even if you didn't get any Chrome or Firefox detections?
