Bonjour.
La version AdwCleaner 7.000 efface toujours RFA (Registry First Aid)
Une explication ?
Cordialement
Bonjour. Depuis la version 6046, AdwCleaner efface le logiciel RFA (registry first aid).
Est-ce normal ? Cordialement.
Error message at "deleting registry entries" stage:
"Line 15778 (File "C:\Users\user\Downloads\adwcleaner_6.030.exe"):
Error: Variable used without being declared."
ADWcleaner then closes without deleting the adware.
AutoIt Error
Line 14412 (File "C:\.......adwcleaner_6.010.exe"):
Error: Variable used without being declared.
Always comes up when deleting registry keys.
Awesome work! I have a few things to mention though:
AdwCleaner keeps detecting SereneScreen's Marine Aquarium as a problem. This is a legit screensaver I paid for. Please configure it to stop detecting this as a problem. Also HCKU\Software\SlimWare Utilities are not adware / malware or any kind of problem either - it's a program called AVG Driver Updater - it can be downloaded from here: http://www.avg.com/us-en/avg-driver-updater
It's also strange that the AVG PC Tuneup Task Background Maintenance is detected under Scheduled Tasks. AVG PC Tuneup is a legitimate optimization suite that has the to clean registry , temporary files and broken shortcuts and defrag in the background. It's a legit program I installed myself and that can be downloaded from AVG.com.
Other than that, it's a great program. PLEASE:
1. Provide a "Send Feedback / Report incorrect detections" option in the program.
2. Provide the option to have an exclusion list and exclude incorrect detections from being re-detected in future scans, as unchecking every single detail in every single tab gets tiresome.
Keep up the great work!
AdwCleaner 6.010, false positive registry detection:
{10921475-03CE-4E04-90CE-E2E7EF20C814} belong to IObit Uninstaller, and its very safe.
* [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{10921475-03CE-4E04-90CE-E2E7EF20C814}]
* [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\{10921475-03CE-4E04-90CE-E2E7EF20C814}]
* [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\{10921475-03CE-4E04-90CE-E2E7EF20C814}]
Hmm… Not nice. AdwCleaner 6.000 found registry keys:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\FWTools.FWUtil
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\FWTools.FWUtil.1
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\SQLActiveScriptHost
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\SWNGRE.uiMeshDecoWizardPage_c
and sure cleaned them out.
After reboot I looked up what a heck those keys was about and found they are all FloXpress utility in SolidWorks 2014. I’m using this program last 2 years and never had any problems with program nor viruses. Now SolidWorks crashes when starting FloXpress… So sad…
Check everything before you cleaning with AdwCleaner 6.000 !
The new version is detecting this Registry Key:
Key Found : HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{196BB40D-1578-3D01-B289-BEFC77A11A1E}
And according with the Google "{196BB40D-1578-3D01-B289-BEFC77A11A1E}" is the product code of Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86).
I don't know if it should detect this registry key.
For some reason after the last update it's detecting 2 Registry entries and one of them is related to Windows Defender, so I suppose it is a false positive.
Key Found : HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\AuthRoot\Certificates\3679CA35668772304D30A5FB873B0FA77BB70D54
Key Found : HKLM\SOFTWARE\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\Image File Execution Options\MsMpEng.exe
Possible solution on win xp sp3. Rename Adwcleaner_5.021.exe to Adwcleaner.exe. This may also work on versions 18 and up. It may have to do with Avira safe search interfering with it. Once I removed Avira safe search from registry (IE browser entries) using adwcleaner.exe it would then run adwcleaner_5.021.exe.
Hope this works for you. May be worth trying on other OS versions.
