I came here because of YouTube. i knew i didn't have a virus on my computer but i kept getting this message saying “Your computer may have adware/spyware virus”. AdwCleaner works really well. Thank you! It would be great if you could add SimpleHelp 4.2 Remote Access service to the whitelist. I get disconnected from the remote computer during the cleaning process. This is remote support software similar to TeamViewer and others. Thank you!
Unfortunately, the false positives remain. Doesn't look like it'll be fix any time soon. You should never blindly have AdwCleaner delete everything. Search entries you're not sure about online. You will avoid problems...
what is the best tool to remove rootkits ???
because adw-cleaner didn't succeed in removing them from my computer :(
Forgive me if this has already been asked but is there any command line switches to enable an automated silent cleanup? If not would there be a possibility of adding this feature. We look after many pcs on a managed service and we're trying to find a program that can clean up toolbars and other unwanted software automatically on a schedule.

Je confirme :
La suppression du dossier "C:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\***.default\Extensions\{3b56bcc7-54e5-44a2-9b44-66c3ef58c13e}" enlève le module de Firefox HTML Validator et la supression du dossier "C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\icpgjfneehieebagbmdbhnlpiopdcmna" "casse" sans enlever le module de Chrome New Tab Redirect.
Ça se corrige facilement, mais ce n'est pas très propre pour ce petit utilitaire sympathique.

Hola, cuando adwCleaner esta a punto de acabar el scan, exactamente en scanning eb browser... dice el programa No Responde! y ahi se quedó, Gracias por la ayuda mi win es 32bit, en el pasado lo utilice varias veces, pero ayer ni hoy se ha podido, nuevamente Gracias
As far as I can see from log,it looks like scanning is stuck at Pale Moon.
IE11 and Firefox 36 are scanned.Everything was fine 7 days ago.Maybe something is wrong with
database.
