Rolled back my OS to Windows 7. When I try to open AdwCleaner i get error message saying AdwCleaner__5.201.exe is not a valid Win32 application. Then tried opening FRST. Error message reads: This version of FRST is not compatible with your operating system. Please use FRST64. When I try to open FRST64 I get error message reading FRST64 is not a valid Win32 application. Any suggestons?

Hm, it's really strange.

Do you have the same issue with any other applications ?

May you try a check with MBAM first since it may be malicious:

Download MalwareBytes Anti Malware here.
Launch MalwareByte's Anti Malware from your desktop
Click on the tab Settings -> Detection & Protection -> PUP/PUM and check "Treat these detections like malware".
Tab Exam choose Threats, click on...

ADWClearner won't remove: HKCU\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\ext\stats

ADWCleaner removed some bad stuffs from my PC... and, even though I've run and cleaned at least 6 times, this is still on my PC - have no idea what it is or what it does? HKCU\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\ext\stats Or, where to find it to remove manually??? Thanks for your help Karen

Indeed, if you can't run FRST due to the same error, there's something wrong here.. (AdwCleaner runs on W10).

Tried running FRST. Says this version is not compatible with your operating system. Please use FRST64. When I try to open FRST64, I get error message, This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC check with the software publisher. Back to where I started. Guess I'll have to rollback my OS to Windows 7 to run adwcleaner.
