I repeatedly get malware that locks up my browser demanding a call to a phone number. Adwcleaner was the only program I found that fixed it - until today, the problem is there but adwcleaner says no threats. Windows 10 IE and edge.

@shy_owl: do you confirm the clean is successfull if you uncheck the elements in the "services" tab prior cleaning ?

ok then here the services name that cause the problem which adware cleaner was unable to remove them in the normal-mode but adware cleaner tool was able to remove them only on the safe-mode without any "not responding Message" or such of it

Since I don't see the precise issue, it's difficult to troubleshoot. It's not abnormal to need to run in safemode in order to remove specific elements.
