Can you activate the debug mode and start a cleaning process until it hangs? Then simply close AdwCleaner, launch it again and share us the debug logfile.

Sorry for the delay. I made some tests and removed it from the database. If you launch AdwCleaner with a working networking connectivity, the detection shouldn't happen anymore.
