I've often seen false positives in this utility, so I advise not to use it at all.

Re: False positive?

I have just scanned my notebook and AdwCleaner v6.046 tells me Auslogics DIsk Defrag is malware, is that correct? Thank you very much, sincerely yours Juan

Yes, it's correct.

Not notified of new version running Adwcleaner 6.045

Ran Adwcleaner 6.045 and was not notified of new version 6.046 being available. I seen the new version available and downloaded it manually.

download error

Which malware makes all the browsers to give the download error, and you can't download anything? thanks Juan

Re: False positives?

Are you sure it isn't a false positive? I had these files detected as well, but on my pc, it's the uninstaller for a program called COUGAR UIX™ System. It's a driver/firmware installer and mouse function editor for the Cougar 700M mouse.

*EDIT* http://cougargaming.com/downloads/

This screenshot shows the file path for the uninstaller shortcut:

Here is the scan log from my pc:

Re: Database corrupted

Yes, the problem persists. It appears everywhere (on WinXP) and is easily reproduced. What can I do to help?

Re: Database corrupted

Hello,

It's not an AutoIt error. Do you reproduce with v6.046?

Re: False positives?

I've had adwcleaner also pick these files up today as well. I'd sit tight for a bit and wait for a reply as i'm pretty sure these are false positives.
