AdwCleaner has two functions to avoid problems with false detections, first it has a scan only method, that allow us to see what it will delete, and second, it has a quarantine function for when a mistake occcured.

I'm here to help you, and to be sure that all items detected by AdwCleaner must be delete, I will need more data about them. So can you post us the entire log file ?

Thank you for your help Xplode.

Just ran it again and it showed an error once again. I began recently facing this error when running Adwcleaner and it previously worked great for me. I have even ran some anti malware and antivirus but they didn't catch any harmful items, just the usual junk files.

What do you think it might be causing this problem? I performed a clean install on this lap...

You can find it in C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[SX].txt where X is a number.

How do I know what I want to keep? For example, "HKCU\Software\One System Care sounds like something important. Do I need to delete these things if I want to clear my PC of malware?

maybe you can provide the full logfile from AdwCleaner, so we can give you some help... like for example if you should delete the detected items or not.

Currently, there is no way to ignore elements permanently.

I'm aware that I can "uncheck" specific items.  Unfortunately, I have no way to know if I have correctly identified all required items - specially in the area of the registry, where the items may not be easy to identify - and I have no way to mark these choices (that I'm aware of) as "permanent" so that I don't have to go through the same procedure each time I perform a scan.
