Re: How to ignore specific programs from Adwcleaner scan

Hi,

maybe you can provide the full logfile from AdwCleaner, so we can give you some help... like for example if you should delete the detected items or not.

Currently, there is no way to ignore elements permanently.

How to ignore specific programs from Adwcleaner scan

I use a paid program (Babylon Translation) that is always identified by Adwcleaner as a program that should be deleted. Is there some way I can tell Adwcleaner to ignore files associated with the Babylon translation program.

Re: Video Editor

Greetings Crowman,

I did some research on Google for you :)

If you want a complete alternative to Sony Vegas, here is the well known Lightworks "the professional editor for everyone" : http://www.lwks.com/

Otherwise, if you need an easy to use open source CD/DVD burner, you can use cdrtfe : http://cdrtfe.sourceforge.net/

There are many software that can do such things. Here are some links :...

AdwCleaner CLI - From Blog post

on AdwCleaner by ****

Hi All,

There was a blog post back in July (https://toolslib.net/blog/viewpost/2015/07/10/18-adwcleaner-v5000/) about AdwCleaner getting/having a CLI in v5.

We cannot find any links, hints, posts, or anything else about it.

Does it actually exist, and if so, where is it?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Autoit error

Hi,

The only case where AdwCleaner could not create a debug logfile is when it crashes before it starts. If it starts and the user can run at least a scan, there will be 100% a debug logfile created ( make sure that the user checked the option "Activate debug mode" ).

After the scan has finished, the user should press the Cleaning button as well until the Error appears again. After closing...

Re: Autoit error

Hi,

This is not personally mine PC, but user's at forum. I asked exactly as you described and he said that there wasn't such log. Tool stops in Clean mode.

Regards.

Re: Autoit error

Hi,

Of course, the same error occurs with Debug Mode enabled, but there will be created a special logfile under C:\AdwCleaner . Just as a note: I'm not talking about the logfile from AdwCleaner where adware elements are shown.

Are you 100% sure that there is no file like C:\AdwCleaner\AdwCleaner_dbg_XXXX.log there?

When does this problem appear? After pressing Scan or Clean button?

Thank...

Re: Save to Pocket Extension incorrectly identified as malware

One final question: Are there any other services that might have the same errant info we should reach out to? Can you possbily share where this issue was discovered?

Save to Pocket Extension incorrectly identified as malware

Hey there!

We have received several reports that AdwCleaner are mistakenly identifying the Save to Pocket extension as another extension that is known to be malicious. This extension appears to be using our unique identifier, and therefore users are being told to uninstall the Pocket extension incorrectly.

Any ideas of how we can remedy this? It's a shame that users are being told to remove...

Greetings terrypin,
