Can you tell me if it works when you click on "Options" -> "Use local database" then run a scan ? Prior to that, uninstall AdwCleaner.

If this works, I think it's a network issue when downloading the database from Toolslib's server.

Just bumped into this issue while trying to run Adw onto my W8.1 machine.

- tried to do as error message say deleted al the versions I found in my machine

- tried to run again I always get the same error

Ok. It should be fixed with MBAM :

• Download MalwareBytes Anti Malware here.
• Launch MalwareByte's Anti Malware from your desktop
• Click on the tab Settings -> Detection & Protection -> PUP/PUM and check "Treat these detections like malware".
• Tab Exam choose Threats, click on Scan now, and click on Launch the exam.

So it seems FDM creates these registry keys.

I'd like to report some false positives, the folders are Itunes stuff and the registry detections are assoicated with Networx, a legit bandwidth monitor

I think I had just come off the SiteGrounds site but can't be sure. I've been in touch with their security today and they are convinced it was nothing to do with them.

Now that the shock is over, it could have been completely un-related to any other event that day, but it was shockingly easy for them to blag me into handing my ...

I clicked on a springfiles virus searching for "modensa cot instructions". Doh!

My first clean has the following log. I have cleaned several times since and it says I am clean. But I am still getting lots of redirects and occasional Chrome freezing whilst I am asked to call the Microsoft certified technician.

who were very helpful and said it had been a conflct problem with another application called Weeble.
