Save to Pocket Extension incorrectly identified as malware

Hey there! 

We have received several reports that AdwCleaner are mistakenly identifying the Save to Pocket extension as another extension that is known to be malicious. This extension appears to be using our unique identifier, and therefore users are being told to uninstall the Pocket extension incorrectly. 

Any ideas of how we can remedy this? It's a shame that users are being told to remove...

I would highly recommend a few improvements that would have prevented or minimized the difficulties I experienced.

1. Display the Log File after the Scan is done, so that it's more obvious what was found before Cleaning starts. My Scan didn't find any "Services" to clean so my GUI didn't change. Even if a display had appeared to indicate I should check all tabs before Cleaning, I might have av...

Please activate Debug Mode as follows so we can see a report which may be helpful with identifying the problem.

  • Double-click on AdwCleaner.exe to open the tool.
  • Click on Options in the top menu.
  • Put a check mark next to Activate debug mode
  • Click on the Scan button.
  • If the error message appears again, close AdwCleaner.
  • A logfile report called AdwCleaner_dbg_XXXX....
