Yep, it's a random bug !

Even the DBG version is not good...

I had downloaded 5.031, ran it and it worked. Tried it immediately for a 2nd time and it crashed. Renamed it to adwcleaner.exe and it crashed. Tried it in safe mode with networking and it crashed. The debug version of 5.031 has worked multiple times in a row with no problem so far

I encourage you to use DelFix to remove every tool you used :

• Download DelFix from Xplode on your desktop.
• Launch it with administrator rights.
• Select all the option except the one proposing to save the registry.
• Then click on the "Execute" button.
• When everything is finish, the software will close itself.
• Then a report appear on the notepad, please copy paste it's c...

I reinstall firefox;

after that, I run these programs (really not sure if I run in this order):

1. Adware_Removal_Tool_by_TSA
2. Windows 10 Manager-1click cleaner
3. RegHunter
4. TFC (Ttemporary file cleaner by Old Timer)
5. CCcleaner
6. rkill
7. jrt

Now browser no redirect to newpoptab.

Think I remove it.

But adw cleaner still not found any malicious threats.

Could you try with this debug version : http://sd-1.archive-host.com/membres/up/17959594961240255/AdwCleaner_DBG.exe and tell us if that works ?

Yes, the debug version runs properly & finishes normally.

Same here. My windows xp pro sp3 crash too with latest version AdwCleaner. The solution is delete registry AdwCleaner then the crash gone but everytime you run AdwCleaner you must delete the AdwCleaner registry first. I try version 3 with no crash reported.
