Re: CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED

Hello,

It's the same "problem" than here - the latest database includes the fix, so you'll need to update it. It should be automatic when you click on [Scan]. Otherwise, please uninstall/reinstall AdwCleaner (by launching it -> "Uninstall") from there : https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/

Re: CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED

Hello,

Sorry for the delay.

You have a Dell computer, don't you ? It may be a corner case with some Dell processes and AdwCleaner..

In the meantime, to be sure that you get the latest database version, can you copy/paste here the content of AdwCleaner scanning logfile (from C:\AdwCleaner\) ?

Re: CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED

Hello,

Great, thanks !

Can you copy this file to your Desktop : C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\042016-18375-01.dmp and create a zip archive from this file ?

Then, host it on https://up2sha.re, and paste here the generated link.

Re: Issue with Microsoft Edge

Hello,

So, it's a DNS issue.. It's strange that only Edge is impacted.

We'll remove the cached files from Edge, and then reset the network configuration if needed :

  1. Launch Edge,
  2. Click on the top-right "..." to show the menu.
  3. Settings
  4. Delete navigation data - choose the elements to remove
  5. Check all, except "Passwords"
  6. Delete

Quit Edge, restart it : does it work ?

If you still get the sa...

Re: AdwCleaner deletes acestream but it reappears after Windows start-up

Hello,

Ok. You may use DelFix to remove the other tools we used, and then it's done for me.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask !

on Désinfection by ****

I have done that and I have also run AdwCleaner to see if the acestream fle was definitely deleted. Everything seemds to be OK.

I was far from thinking that the Roxplayer application did use the Acestream technology. Maybe the Acestream software has no malware itself (although the Magicplayer Firefox plugin has got a malware) but the Roxplayer software does have a malware.

Anyway I will no lo...

Re: ADW Cleaner 5.112 and last 3 versions causing me BSOD Win 10

Hello,

Thanks for your help !

The second BSOD is caused by the same processus. It's probably my fault, I made a mistake when I added this case to the database.. Can you retry now (with the v5.112) ? (and be sure to get a network connection to get the latest database update)

Re: AdwCleaner deletes acestream but it reappears after Windows start-up

Hello,

Great ! I reproduced the problem. It's due to Rox Player, which is really tendancious (showings random ads, not updated for a quite long time...).

I added the detections to AdwCleaner, and we'll remove it manually there.

Download the file fixlist.txt and save it as "fixlist.txt" to the Desktop or where FRST is located.

NOTE. It's important that both files, FRST/FRST64 and fixlist.txt...
