Do you have the latest version installed? Have you tried the newest beta update of AdwCleaner? Kind of curious how in this case internet is affecting scan results.
Not sure, it seems like lately a lot of people are experiencing crashes on older systems. Windows 10 doesn't have issues as far as I am aware. But it's not about Win10. Could you try running a beta version and see if that helps? Just click on the beta, choose the latest version, download and run. Keep us updated.
Beta version still detects the second result (as the regular version), as well as new entries...
Here's the log.

Hello,
Those should no longer be detected with a recent database update, or with this version which bundle a recent database.
Best regards,
Yes, simply click on [Cancel] when prompted for an update - as a remind, this is a beta version and the update mechanism is only available for stable releases.
Hello,
Please use this one: https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/files/1021/
And click on [cancel] when prompted for update, it will let you continue to use the version without updating.
Best regards,
I did that too and it did work! :) Hopefully the update glitch will be corrected.
