1. Please download CCleaner,
2. Go in Options tab > Advanced, untick Only delete Windows temporary files older than 24 hours.
3. Then in Options  tab > Surveillance, untick the both boxes.
4. In the Clean tab, click on "Clean".
5. When the cleaning is done, go in the "Registry" tab, click on "Find errors" and then "Fix".

We cannot find any links, hints, posts, or anything else about it.

Does it actually exist, and if so, where is it?

Hi,

The only case where AdwCleaner could not create a debug logfile is when it crashes before it starts. If it starts and the user can run at least a scan, there will be 100% a debug logfile created ( make sure that the user checked the option "Activate debug mode" ).

After the scan has finished, the user should press the Cleaning button as well until the Error appears again. After closing...

I did find something called Adblock Plus as seen at https://adblockplus.org/

BUT I had rather clean and get rid of them entirely instead of blocking them if that is possible? 

Sorry, if this is duplicated, newbie here and I did a search for Ad Choices in Chrome removal and didn't find a resolution...I downloaded AdWCleaner (latest download  here) but didn't remove Ad Choices from Chrome.......

Can anyone please offer some direction or help to remove Ad Choices?

AdwCleaner is a portable software. This means that no installation is required in order to use it. You just have to launch the previously downloaded executable that you can find on this page : https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/

in particular i wanted to raise awareness about some firefox adware/malware which is showing up rather frequently as an addon with a randomized id and name which hides itself from the addons manager which is going undetected at the moment.

I would highly recommend a few improvements that would have prevented or minimized the difficulties I experienced.

1. Display the Log File after the Scan is done, so that it's more obvious what was found before Cleaning starts. My Scan didn't find any "Services" to clean so my GUI didn't change. Even if a display had appeared to indicate I should check all tabs before Cleaning, I might have av...

Hmm, okay so it sounded so simple.

Where can I find the Log File? That option is greyed out when I load ADWCleaner.

Also, I can't seem to copy lines from Quarantine. I can highlight lines individually, and I click on "ALL" lines, but can't seem to copy them.

And, FYI, there are thousands of individual files in Quarantine now. If I could restore the whole folder, it would be fast, but copying...

I download adwcleaner from bleepingcomputer and run the file. adwcleaner the opens. I activate debug mode. I do scan and it finds all sorts of bad stuff. I do cleanup. popup comes "all programs will be closed to proceed......." I click ok. Moments later it goes to a blue sceen like this http://www.reviversoft.com/blog/2013/04/critical-process-died/ .
