Because that might cause an issue with compatibility (Very rare case). Try launching the application in the admin mode? This guide also has more info about compatibility, IF it is the issue. I tried running ADW Cleaner but it stops / freezes and I have to use the task manager to close it down.

I have a doubt, if I run the program while being connected to the internet, it does not give me any detections, but if I run it without an internet connection, it recalls 260 detections, the same ones that the author of the post points out.

Regarding the issue, it's not related to any installation process (AdwCleaner doesn't install anything), and it's fixed in the v7.0.1.0 betas that you can find...

Même chose chez moi. Depuis 15 jours.

Windows 7 pro 64 bits.

adware cleaner 7.0.0.0 crashes on use, when it comes to the end of the process. 

And, my old 6.x won't run - insists on upgrading to 7 which doesn't work. 

So, figured I would try 7.0.1.0 beta, but that also insists it is out of date, and tries to get me to go back to 7.0.0.0

I managed to get it to work, you need to download the link above and then let it scan. If you have a pop-up window to say this version is out of date ignore rate can full the window. After you need to press on scan normally it will work fine.
