You should be able to run some version in the v6.x series which run without SSE2, but they do no longer receive any update.

Does not work!  It stops / freezes with the same pop up window saying "caught". I tried the older version immediately after and it worked fine. Then went back and tried the newest version again....but it failed agan.

Same problem and same message : "*** Caught unhandled unknown exception, terminating."

Activating Debug from Tools menu does not solve anything.

I cannot even close the message of error, the close button is grey, so I have to close adwcleaner via Task Manager.
