Re: vers 7.0

Hello,

I feel like I'm repeating myself but:

  1. Sadly, fixing issues takes time. It also depends on the type and severity of these issues. Some are more difficult to fix than others.
  2. I'd like to remind you that we're speaking about the release of a major version (7.0.0.0). A major version often comes with big changes and it may bring unexpected issues.
  3. Finally, the lack of answer doesn't mean ...

Re: Download and 3rd party providers

Hello,

  • Do you have some more details about these "install failures"?
  • About 3rd party providers, do you have some names or links?

Thanks.

Re: Potential false positives?

If they weren't detected as major threats or some form of issues you should be good to go. AdwCleaner should clean up any actually malicious software, but other than that, you don't need to worry. If you want, you can do a full thorough system scan just in case. Avast full scan. Mbam, AdwCleaner and Hitman Pro, additionally use CCleaner to clean up your registry and cache files and you are set!

Well.... My previous solution in Windows "Safe mode with networking" should help you out if you haven't done that. Alternatively, you could try using RKill to kill malicious software first. Then remove the identified files manually, afterward do a thorough scan with Malwarebytes, AdwCleaner, and HitmanPro. This should definitely yield some results.

Re: removed by author

Hello I didin't see this topic before.

Do you really think that if it was a bad file , all the best and known antiviruses ( DrWeb, Malwarebytes, Kaspersky, Bitdefender, etc.....) could mark it as safe ?

Please, think before posting

Re: Potential false positives?

PUP is usually named a Potentially Unwanted Program. It doesn't always have to be malware or malicious software. If MMO's have their anti-cheat in form of "Pando", it might interact with files at the system level, which AdwCleaner could deem treating a very normal reaction. Keep in mind that different malware removal software targets malicious software different ways. While one anti-malware so...
