After restarting the computer, ADWCleaner is not there anymore so I had to reinstall the application.

Is that occurred when you launched the Cleaning process ?

Did you find your missing work folder on the quarantine manager ? Can you tell me its name and where it was located ?

Also, could you upload the quarantine.log file stored into C:\AdwC...

I don't really know what could cause this kind of bug. It's probably due to the configuration of your computer. But we can try debugging it if you have the time.

Version 5.016 works ok. By the way, when one accepts to DL new version the old one gets deleted, thats annoying, (because if by any reason DL is not succesful or as in this case, new program doesn't work, it's imposible to return to older version). Old version should be renamed to adwclean...

I used the current version of AdwCleaner today without issue.  I run 3 layers of PAID active Anti-Virus protection:  Emsisoft Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes Pro, and Hitman Pro. 

In response to the false positive claim of AdwCleaner being a threat, I did a scan on the AdwCleaner.exe with all three AV programs.  AdwCleaner came back CLEAN.  Also, I have used it for years...and AdwCleaner catches the ...

En mode normal, lancez AdwCleaner, cliquez sur "Options" et cochez les options suivantes :

• "Réinitialiser les paramètres Proxy"
• "Réinitialiser les paramètres Firewall"
• "Réinitialiser les paramètres TCP/IP"

Effectuez alors une analyse suivie directement d'un nettoyage. Dites-moi s'il y a du mieux pour la connectivité.

• Téléchargez Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
• Installez-le en laissant les options par défaut, une icône sera créée sur le bureau et Malwarebytes démarrera (décochez à l'installation "Activer l'essai gratuit de MBAM Premium").
