Ok. Mais je viens de scanner mon pc à nouveau avec adwcleaner qui l'a detecté et supprimé. Voici le rapport

Mais je viens de redemarrer google chrome, et bien amazon y est toujours. :-s

Il est anormalement lent depuis quelque temps. Et pour combler le tout, amazon assistant s'est autoinstallé, j'ai beau supprimer de google chrome, il revient dès que je netoie mon ordi avec adwcleaner qui detecte comme PUP.amazon...

Bien évidemment AdwCleaner n'installe pas Search Manager. Tu as peut-être téléchargé AdwCleaner sur un site douteux ou bien peut-être que l'extension Search Manager était déjà présente dans les configurations de ton Google Chrome, AdwCleaner en a trouvé une trace, a essayé de la supprimer mais n'y est pas arrivé et Google Chrome a réinstallé / réactivé l'...

The issue with download managers is known and will be resolved at the end of the week. In the meantime, please avoid using any download manager while downloading AdwCleaner - it should then work as expected.

To be more precise, this is related to parallel download feature (in Chrome, since version 64) and some other download managers.

I activated a function on my Chrome through the link - chrome://flags/  called - parallel-download.  

This is what affected the AdwCleaner download.

The funny thing is that this only affected your program. 

All employees of the company where I work have the same problem because they have enabled this function in their browsers. That's why I wrote "many people" earlier.

When you say "many people do the AdwCleaner download but are unable to run the program", can you share some other cases? That'd be helpful.

Also, can you try downloading AdwCleaner using another web browser (Chrome, Firefox, ..)?

Used current Chrome with IDM - same message:

"IDM started to download the file using one connection because of data corruption when newly received data in several connections did not match the same data downloaded earlier. Do you want to read about possible reasons of data corruption?"

Of all the things I download from all the sites I visit, this (AdwCleaner from ToolsLib.net) is the only one...

I found this thread while looking for answer to my own pup issues and signed up to say thanks.  What worked for me was uninstalling Chrome and then running Malwarebytes Adwcleaner. Ran it a second time and with Chrome uninstalled a got a clean scan this time. Before that it would identify Pup.Legacy.Optional.
