Using the recovery boot tool and it came up perfectly, I went to the Drive that I needed to look at. It indicated the directory or file was corrupted and I would like to know if there is any way to rebuild it. I am trying to save pictures located on the HD for a friend as the PC (desktop) failed. Adw-cleaner has been quite satisfactory so far. Today, however, as suspicious Files, he shows me all entries belonging to a Program. I've been installing this Program for Years. Why is this Message only coming now? Once I've cleaned up these Messages, this Program doesn't work and, moreover, OneDrive and Dropbox no longer log in automatically.

So nobody can tell me why the newly released update to 7.0.8.0 will not download to my PC. Is this update even real? Malwarebytes release history does not mention anything other than 7.0.7.0. ANYBODY?????

Thanks for replying. I tested it with all addons disabled and the problem is still there. Both AdwCleaner and MalwareBytes tell me that "no threates were found".
I created a new clean Firefox profile and that problem disappeared, but I would like to be able to remove it from my current profile (to preserve history, open tabs, etc.)

I am helping a friend clean a grossly infected computer. Windows 10. Uses McAfee AV.
He ran Malwarebytes 3 without difficulty and it cleaned with no problem at all. I do have the log if needed but cannot find a way to attach the text file
