Thank you for your response, I no longer have the screenshot since the problem has been solved by using the system restore, however the problem started off from running MultiExtractor software that I downloaded from CNET to extract the corrupted backup files and the symptoms were pretty much described here https://malwaretips.com/blogs/windows-pc-repair-removal/
My browser would open multiple taps on anything I clicked on then it continuously directed me to "Windows PC Repair" site. I ran AdwCleaner but it didn't do the job, in the past this software would clean up just about every malware but not lately, I might add. I was thinking about using the malwarebyte but the problem was getting so bad and I decided to use the system restore instead.
