Re: Is this a false positive?

dans AdwCleaner par Nec

It looks like your PC's DHCP IP's have been altered maliciously not too long ago. Which it would make sense why one PC detects it, and another doesn't. Default addresses can be hijacked and used for malicious intents. It is hard to say whether it is a false positive or not. You could always reset your PCs IP's and router to see if that solves the problem.

Re: Did AdwCleaner Remove Required Registry Files?

dans AdwCleaner par JoshRoss

As far as the logs go, no drivers/registry keys that are crucial to the functionality of any hardware have been removed. Just some PUPs that are malicious and have nothing to do with it. For future reference, make sure you update your Windows to the latest version, update your drivers to the latest and do an additional scan both with Adwcleaner and Malwarebytes.

Did AdwCleaner Remove Required Registry Files?

In hopes of making my two computers as safe as can be I went ahead and removed the various files that AdwCleaner detected in a scan. However, because I had issues with my computer's hardrive becoming corrupt recently, I'm worried that some of the registry files that were deleted might in fact be necessary ones. Can someone please let me know if this is the case? I've posted the content of the l...

General Question about AdsFix

dans AdsFix par FireNoodle

Hi there,

I just have some questions about your program.

1: Does AdsFix have a pause button? During the analyzing sequence it took over 4 hours to scan (and that was at 57%), I didn't expect it to go for so long.

2: When I pressed escape on the keyboard; when it was analyzing, the computer froze up and windows was seizing. Followed by a frozen screen and I had to hard reset the computer. ...

Thanks for that! The beta versioning was needed badly. As the users were not aware that it was updated and even when I recommended the software for some people it was hard to point out that it was in fact updated.

Greetings, hopefully, you can understand English. With the power invested in my by Google Translate, I will attempt to answer your questions. AdwCleaner doesn't install anything since it is a standalone software. If you haven't had any malware or there are no files that need to be quarantined/stored, there will be no reason to create a folder in C disk. Try doing a scan once. It should appear a...

Re: Win10PESE startup

The only way you can boot from the disk itself is through PXE and network booting (Advanced Windows Server things :) ). Any other way is impossible. Ah yes, good point covering RAM totally went out of my head. In general, this seems more like some specific hardware issue than anything else.

Re: Win10PESE startup

Hello,

Since you're booting from a DVD, the 5 minutes boot time seems reasonable. When you boot from this kind of support/device, a lot of things are loaded in the RAM itself. It also depends on the max speed provided by your disk reader.

Are you suggesting I boot from the ISO itself on disk? If so, I don't know how to do that.

I'm pretty sure it isn't doable...
