Même chose chez moi. Depuis 15 jours.
Windows 7 pro 64 bits.
adware cleaner 7.0.0.0 crashes on use, when it comes to the end of the process.
And, my old 6.x won't run - insists on upgrading to 7 which doesn't work.
So, figured I would try 7.0.1.0 beta, but that also insists it is out of date, and tries to get me to go back to 7.0.0.0
I did that too and it did work! :) Hopefully the update glitch will be corrected.

I managed to get it to work, you need to download the link above and then let it scan. If you have a pop-up window to say this version is out of date ignore rate can full the window. After you need to press on scan normally it will work fine.
I too have this same exact occurrence & have started a new thread on bleepingcomputer.com (BC) titled: "Strange PC behavior W/ adwcleaner_7.0.0.0.exe"
I'm anxious to see a solution!
