OK! Issue solved! I had knowingly installed the iSafe Key-logger on that computer. This is supposedly invisible to cleaners and registry. AdwCleaner removed the invisible iSafe folder but not its registry entries. That caused instability in the system, probably related to the specificity of the key-loggers. Restoring the iSafe folder from within the AdwCleaner Quarantine Manager solved the issue. No need to do anything in the registry. I hope this helps!
I'm afraid I need to ask again. Seems my concern was overlooked. The problem can be seen on many computer help forums. Original message:
"AdwCleaner removes Hotspot Shield. However, many users have messed up their Internet connections in the process. If you're reading this, please see what you can do to correct the issue. Thanks"
I don't know why it's seeing Hotspot Shiled as adware. It's a legitimate application.
Thank you for fixing the issue, and for this very useful program.

My adwcleaner failed to remove Vosteran Search which pops up 3 tabs for every one chrome tab. I haven't downloaded any private or personal files on this new computer.....only windows and McAfee updates have been entered. McAfee sent me to adwcleaner. Interesting but also not successful. Help.
Successfully removed "www.mystartsearch.com" from Windows 8.1 x64 Notebook.
After I have tried all to me known procedures including Malwarebyte, Nod32 and other antivirus programs this was the only program that succeeded to remove adaware/virus "www.mystartsearch.com" from my notebook.
Thank you!
Adwcleaner is detecting speedbit video downloader as a malware. This makes it difficult in cleaning other malwares as some of the links might be related to speedbit video downloader. could you check this link and solve the problem (https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/54048-malwarebytes-anti-malware-version-146-erroneously-detects-speedbit-speedbit-video-downloader-as-adwareecobar/). DEAR MR cocochepeau ANDD MR XPLODE
REMOVE THE BIG LIE YOU HAVE RE-ENTERED:
YR TOOL IS STILL NOT COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS XP
YOU ARE MAKING A FOOL OF US
YOU HAVE BETRAYED ALL WINDOWS XP'S USERS
I downloaded the 4101 version and it does not run (Windows 7 user administrator). I run an earlier version (3311) and ok. The baidu virus was installed (there is software to manage and prevent unauthorized user facilities?) And I think he (even removed the 3311 version) is preventing version 4.101 to perform. Any tips?
Thanks, Er - Brazil
