Re: Version 7.0.0.0 scaling over 100%

It appears to be one. I have had multiple issues in the past with windows scaling, it just breaks applications. Not just ADWCleaner, but most of the applications. Only a few people do the scaling though, so globally it is not an issue. But yeah, maybe official representatives have some thoughts on this, I would like to know myself.

Re: PUP.Legacy.Optional - 3 Threats Identified

John Ross -- thanks for the thought. May be something to what you're saying. The warning pops up on one site only -- tunein radio and only one program 94 wip sports talk. Doesn't happen when I listen to CNN, 97.5 Sports, and various music stations on tunein; only when I listen to 94wip so perpahs it's something that's being downloaded from that site only.

As for safe mode w/networking, was hop...

Re: PUP.Legacy.Optional - 3 Threats Identified

Thank you for the feedback. I ran the MB check and uploaded the zip file. Didn't get confirm when uploaded the zip and may have submitted more than once -- please advise if you did not receive it.

Re: PUP.Legacy.Optional - 3 Threats Identified

Could be that you are a victim of bundleware. Basically, alongside normal maybe even useful software, some providers bundle malicious or useless software just to increase downloads and such. Have you downloading anything from 3rd party providers and not official sources?. Regardless of the fact, Malwarebytes or ADWCleaner should have picked it up and removed it, it could be much more thorough. ...

Re: AdwCleaner 7.0.0.0 XP SP3

Hello,

Yes, it required too much work to support 1.5% of users on deprecated OSes..

However according to some feedbacks it seems that it *may* run on Windows Vista. Feel free to test and share your results!

If you need an official support for those two OSes, please use MB3 instead.

Best regards,

AdwCleaner 7.0.0.0 XP SP3

Latest version AdwCleaner 7.0.0.0 will not run on XP SP3 "Not a valid Win32 application".

EDIT:  OK so I have just read on Malwarebytes forum that XP and Vista are no longer supported, fair enough, but you may want to drop XP and Vista from the "Compatible with" list on this page? https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/

Re: ADWCleaner & Teamviewer

Never had issues that ADWCleaner would remove my TeamViewer. You sure it was that software? Maybe it was a fluke or a trojan pretending to be TeamViewer. You could try installing TV, doing a scan with anti-virus software, ADWCleaner and maybe some form of anti-malware on top of that, to confirm or deny your thoughts.

Re: 19 may last update..??..:(

i only would like to see again adwcleaner updated in maximum 15-20 days..

as it was BEFORE the infaust acquisition of malawarebyte..

but i really know that is a dream..

you can say i'm a dreamer..but i'm SURE that i'm not the ONLY one...

..bigger fish always eat smaller one..

what a pity...

:(

Re: 19 may last update..??..:(

Hello,

Instead of asking for a pointless version number increment, can you describe the features you would like to see being implemented? It would be definitively more helpful.

Thanks,

Re: 19 may last update..??..:(

the matter is:

why before that infaust acquisition by malawarebyte the updates were up to maximun 15 days..??

you are telling me that were not usefull..and it was only a window dressing operation by adwcleaner..??

i really do not think so..i have not to..

bigger fish always eat smaller one...

what a pity..
