I've quarantined this (along with all the others) and used regedit to remove their entries in HKLM:SYSTEM:CurrentControlSet:Services.  At the moment my computer is OK, but let's wait another 2...

Thank you for updating QuickDiag, however the same error still persists.

Both of these files belong to the backup and disk imaging program Acronis True Image 2016.

It is a comprehensive program with a ton of features, and therefore its files take up the biggest amount of disk space of all my software.

Please let me know what more I can do to help.

En cherchant à récupérer un fichier, je me suis aperçu que de nombreux autres avaient été remplacés par des fichiers que je n'ai pas ouverts depuis longtemps. Recuva les considère comme irrécupérables. Que faire ? Mes sauvegardes n'ont pas été trouchées mais les fichiers les plus récent sont tout zigouigouités.

@User547952 : this key does not belong to Mozilla Firefox only. Mozilla Firefox creates this key only for a limited time (the current session). However, we target the same key created by several malwares, which is not deleted when the current session is terminated.

It's a corner case, but we'll look deeper to see what we can do about that..

Sorry long night, but can confirm all false positive flags have since been removed. Nothing suspicious is now being picked up and application is working as intended! Thankyou very much for looking into this, it is much appreciated.

I'm able to ping any DNS IP including googles that u asked of me. 

My question is more in relation to understanding what was removed from adwcleaner which makes my Vpn not be able to mask my IP address like it's suppose to. I posted the log showing the keys that were deleted or quarantined by adwcleaner from my registry. I'm assuming its flagging the astrill Vpn app in some fashion because it ...

The Chrome (and derivative browsers) preferences are now handled by the option "Reset Chrome Preferences".

The files or folders are still listed as usual, in their respective tabs ("files", "folders").
