Bug report for QuickDiag

Hello!

I have Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64-bit.

Every time I am running QuickDiag in either mode (Xspeed, Quick or Extended) and (even in Safe Mode), it hangs at the exact same file: C:\Windows\Installer\3ef7a91.msi

Re: Tracing key keeps coming back after deletion, help?

Same here, have posted to 2 other forums to see if anyone finds. My findings : Avira crashes but I suspect the last update to be the cause MBAM, ZHPdiag, rKill don't find anything Windows defender says it has found something butI have to wait until the end (loooong) of the scan to know what it is, so that'll be tomorrow morning. Really hoping it's a false positive

Re: Tracing key keeps coming back after deletion, help?

Hi there,

I have exactly the same result since this evening... Glad i'm not the only one here :)

Tracing key keeps coming back after deletion, help?

I am bad at this kind of stuff, so apologies if I am missing something obvious.

Today in a scan a "tracing key" is detected after a scan with adwcleaner, deleted it and right after restart I scanned again. Same key was detected again. Malwarebytes scan didn't detect anything. After 2 more deletions with adwcleaner I thought I would ask here for help since it still keeps popping up in adwcleane...

Just like you I've had the same problem for weeks. Database could not be loaded.

I don't know if this will help you but adwcleaner_5.026 is the last version I can run.

After each new version fails I just run it when I want to clean.

Hope it helps

Re: Same two iems repeatedly discovered by AdwCleaner.

Ok, I'll uninstall IOBit's uninstaller.  I have seen few negative comments about it somewhere.

Re: Same two iems repeatedly discovered by AdwCleaner.

Hello,

GUID stands for Globally Unique Identifier. In this case, the GUID I talk about is this one {10921475-03CE-4E04-90CE-E2E7EF20C814}

According to systemlookup, this entry is classified as borderline. I suggest you to uninstall IOBit uninstaller. If you don't, AdwCleaner will not clean it since IOBit will reinstall it after its deletion. It's up to you.

Thank you Xplode.

I have IOBit's uninstaller installed.

What does GUID mean please?

Regards.
