Are you looking for a Internet Explorer tab in AdwCleaner ? If so, please refer to the documentation - the IE components are listed in Registry tab.

I've noticed, that the new options "Delete Image File Execution" and "Delete Prefetch Files" in Version 5.106 are neither documented nor translated in German. Please fix that.

If you still experience any issue with AdwCleaner, please keep the logfile and post them as this is the only way for me to debug and find what is wrong.

In v5.104 I added the list of Winsock2 entries deleted at the bottom of the logfile, so that I can check if there is a legit entry that has been deleted and correct it.

You're right, AdwCleaner does minor things behind what is written...

And as a suggestion, why dont u create a .ini file where users can write processes names and make them whitelist ? it would help us all..

Can you run AdwCleaner in debug mode? Click on "Options" then "Activate debug mode".

Run the scan. Even if it shows this error message, you should have a file called "Debug_XXXXX.log" under C:\

Please download and run the latest AdwCleaner's version ( v5.104 ). It should disinfect infected DNSApi.dll files. There was a bug in v5.103 which caused AdwCleaner to detect but not disinfect these files.

Can you post AdwCleaner's cleaning report ?

Also, can you download RegToolExport, run it, then on the text field copy/paste this text :

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Winsock2

Click on "Exporter" then save the file to your desktop.

Please attach the exported file to your next reply.
