Re: False Positives

I got the exact same results after downloading version 7.2.2, so it probably is a FP.

Re: BSOD tcpip.sys? at boot only

Hi Cumdacon,

Logs look good, it made a repair.  Have you rebooted your machine since yesterday?  If so, what happened?

I see you have a Dell.  You are also running Windows 6.0?   The scan /scannow is in a different language?  What did the last line say?

Please reply.

BSOD tcpip.sys? at boot only

Hi everyone, Hi dear Jerome, I go BSOD (or a simply "total OS hang" > power off) at boot **ONLY**, therefore I have to leave the pc always turned on (with zero problems) since 3 weeks. But I prefer the old behaviour, i.e. shutdown during every night ;) hardware and software are always the same here, since...a lot years. Memory: the long test told me all is ok: I stopped it after the 12th (!) p...

Re: adwcleaner

Greetings,

AdwCleaner 7.x no longer works on Windows XP machines. If that's what you were asking?

Please try the 6th branch (no longer updated): https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/files/851/

Also, you could give a try to Malwarebytes (which is still compatible with Windows XP): https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/309-malwarebytes/

Regards.

Re: Win XP support

Signed in just to show support for all the windows embedded POSReady systems based on XP out there, which are still being updated until april 2019.

Why is that every single person thinks that if there is an old working machine somewhere it should be definitely full of viruses? That's really annoyin...

Re: Win XP support

Hello,

There is a possibility to realize an XP support in current version.

Yes.

I wrote back in August to fr33tux and sent him screens with explanations on how to add XP support to your project. So for now it seems like a MBAM PR action that you don't want to realize such support (though you can).

It's not a question of technical difficulty, it's a choice to not support an OS no longe...

Re: False Positives V7

Since V7 I've been getting false positives on all my machines - often ones reported by others.  I suspect they are down to using SypwareBlaster.  This is an old but quite safe program which puts kill bits in the registry to prevent undesireable stuff running.  I think it would be worth installing SpywareBlaster then "enabling all protection", then see what ADWCleaner makes of it.  Thanks.
